Video | The Current: Scaling Innovation for Development Impact

Recording of a 30-minute lightning talk with Parsons student Jarmila Skáre and Benjamin Kumpf of OECD.

On April 14, 2026, Parsons School of Design student Jarmila (Milla) Skáre hosted Benjamin Kumpf, Head of Innovation and Digital Transformation Facility at OECD, for a 30-minute lightning talk about the ways design thinking and innovation can move beyond small-scale pilots to achieve systemic development impact.

Their conversation delved into the work of OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development)—a global policy forum that promotes policies to improve the economic and social well-being of people across the world—and the tactical approaches that inform real-world applications of this critical, strategic work.

This conversation is part of The Current, CoDesign Collaborative’s virtual, student-led lightning talk series that highlights vital topics in design.
