The Current

Virtual lightning talks with creative leaders programmed by students to highlight critical topics in Design.
Diverse group of High School students work together on a design project.

The Current is a virtual, student-led, lightning talk series highlighting vital topics in design. Join us as we meet the emerging voices and individuals shaping the future of design! Topics include intergenerational community design, inclusive fashion, design facilitation and community practices, and sustainable fashion practices.

Each session is organized and hosted by a student and features a guest speaker. This program provides future designers with professional development, the opportunity to be in community with their peers, and to create programming by and for other students.

We welcome participation in The Current. Students are guided through crafting a prompt, identifying a speaker, and preparing for their virtual fireside chat. Interested in getting involved? Check out upcoming events below. Connect with us at info@codesigncollaborative.org.
