Excel Dryer is a proud partner of CoDesign Collaborative and aims to support our vision of inspiring social change through the transformative power of design.
This family-owned and operated company is located in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. They revolutionized the industry with the invention of the XLERATOR®Hand Dryer, which set a new standard for performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction. For more than 50 years, Excel has been manufacturing American-made hand drying solutions that are dependable, cost-effective, safe, and sustainable. Backed by the best customer service, Excel Dryer products can be purchased through an established network of sales representatives and distributors globally.
Excel Dryer partnered with the Boston nonprofit organization Artists For Humanity (AFH) to transform commercial restrooms to pieces of art. This organization provides high schoolers with opportunities to work on paid art and design projects while they prepare for college and their careers. When Excel learned of the amazing work that AFH does, they collaborated with them to create custom covers for their XLERATOR®Hand Dryer and XChanger® Combo Kits in the facility’s restrooms. Excel is very proud of this collaboration and was honored to support and showcase the work of these talented young artists.
As part of Excel’s work with CoDesign Collaborative, their Global Head of Specifications and Sustainability Paul Marquez delivered a Lightning Talk titled “Hygiene Meets Sustainability: Redefining Restroom Design”. This talk explored how innovative hand-drying solutions shape cleaner, greener, and more inclusive spaces. As part of this presentation, Paul shared a case study from a Boston Harbor high-rise with 120 gender-neutral restrooms. This building’s restrooms have Excel’s XLERATORsync® Hand Dryer as an exclusive part of the D|13 Sink System in the US by the D|13 Group, located in Natick, MA. This integrated sink system provides occupants with a completely touchless hand-washing and drying experience that leaves no water on the floor.
Paul’s talk additionally highlighted a global post-pandemic survey that was completed by renowned marketing research firm MetrixLab in partnership with Excel. This survey concluded that the number one concern post-pandemic is cleanliness and hygiene, and that 100% of participants agreed that a dirty restroom reflects poorly on the establishment. If you are looking to ensure that your restroom meets these global demands, reach out to Excel Dryer today.
