About Us

Welcome to CoDesign Collaborative! Learn more about us, our history, and how you can get involved. As a participatory organization, we strive to foster and grow a community of creative problem-solvers across industries and geographic locations.

Our Mission

Inspire social change through the transformative power of design.

Our Work

Formerly known as Design Museum Everywhere, CoDesign Collaborative curates and produces design-centered exhibitions, publications, and educational initiatives for creative problem solvers of all ages and career levels. Started in Boston by two designers, we are now a remote-first nonprofit with core communities in Boston, Portland (Oregon), San Francisco, New York City, and beyond.

We believe that design is everywhere. We are a community motivated by curiosity, collaboration, and co-creation. While many of members are designers, much of our community consists of educators, activists, and creative professionals who are not “designers” in the traditional sense, but are connected in their desire to design for a better world.

Our programs and resources highlight innovations in design and social change within four key impact areas: Community, Workplace, Education, and the Environment.

Community and Education Are at the Core of Our Programs

Community-centered events, exhibitions, and publications that connect the public to the power and social impact of design.

Educational programs for all ages with a focus on inclusivity, empathy, and designing for a better world

Career development and mentoring for students and design professionals.

Organizational Cornerstones

Purposeful Progression

Design is for everyone, and when done well, it can support a more beautiful, just, and sustainable world.

Welcoming Community

We are a BIPOC and female-led organization that strives to create open and joyful spaces where everywhere feels valued.

Cultivating Curiosity

Design is collaborative. We aim to illuminate the world of design and inspire learners of all ages to drive meaningful change.

Card to Culture

We believe that design should be accessible for all! In order to provide arts and cultural opportunities to those generally excluded by cost, we’re proud to partner with the Mass Cultural Council, in collaboration with the Department of Transitional Assistance, the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Nutrition Program, and the Massachusetts Health Connector,  to offer the Card to Culture program. We offer FREE registration (a 100% discount) to people with EBT, WIC, and ConnectorCare Cards for our virtual and in-person programming. View upcoming events.
