With an aesthetic characterized by spatial and structural sensitivity, graphic understanding, and artistic fluidity, Shalini Prasad has developed a unique, inclusive, and adaptive transdisciplinary design methodology. Her trifecta background in architecture, graphic design, and fine arts informs her seamless interpretation of image, space, line, texture, and color, allowing her to traverse multiple modalities of visual communication beyond a two-dimensional canvas.

With over twenty-five years of diverse industry experience—spanning architecture, corporate communications, marketing, advertising, and design agencies—Shalini combines her deep passion for storytelling with innate artistic and analytical sensibilities. She creates integrative solutions for brand identity, print, screen, and environmental design. Fearlessly dismissing parochial boundaries, she applies the same creative process and energy whether examining the minutiae of typography or the broader movements of design in space.

In addition to managing a small interdisciplinary design studio in Newton MA, Shalini serves as an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Lesley University in Cambridge MA, a Design Director at LLM Design in Boston MA, a mixed-media artist, and an actress. She brings her multicultural design instinct and holistic creative repertoire to both the classroom and client projects. Shalini began her creative career with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture in New Delhi. After practicing as an architect, she specialized in Visual Communication and Graphic Design, earning a Master of Science in Design from Arizona State University.
