Kate Murphy is a graphic designer and creative director with a passion for color, the art of typography, photography, the great outdoors and the skillful combination of these interests. Kate has spent thirty years working in design consulting with a focus on branding and product development. Her comprehensive design programs include corporate identity, print communications, product packaging and literature, information graphics, wayfinding systems, retail interiors and color consulting. Kate’s commitment to her craft earned her recognition in Communication Arts, Graphis, Print Magazine and fashion industry journal, Women’s Wear Daily. Kate was the recipient of an American Institute of Graphic Arts BoNE Award.

Project opportunities have taken Kate to the UK, Far East and South America. Currently, Kate runs her namesake art and design practice in the Boston area where she resides with her family. Kate continues to be inspired by the natural world, colorful travels both near and far, inventive creative solutions and purposeful design collaborations. Kate earned her BFA at Rhode Island School of Design. She is a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts, Photographers Without Borders, and supports several environmental organizations including the Sierra Club and Sea Legacy.
