The Education Fund

Bring design education to young learners year-round!

Our community is committed to supporting the future of design by investing in young people today. Through Design Together, families can explore the design process with a catalog of at-home activities for learners of any age. For teens, the Neighborhood Design Project piloted design curricula for high-schoolers and offered professional development opportunities for their adult educators.

Building on our work with teens, we are reinvigorating our student mentorship programThis fall, the Student Advisory Council will launch and steward the return of the organization’s Mentorship Program.

In its initial year, the Student Advisory Council will convene 12-15 college-age students, primarily from historically marginalized communities, through design and social impact. The program will be stipend-based, with Council members shaping organizational programming by and for their peers and engaging in one-on-one mentorship with design professionals.

Each year, we aim to raise $15,000 towards ambitious youth education programming. This year, we are focused on the launch of the Student Advisory Council and Mentorship Program. You can join our effort and provide direct support by making a donation to the Education Fund today!
