The panel discussion will immediately be followed by a hands-on activity led by Don’t Shoot PDX at 2pm PT.  \nOur panelists are Jana Demartini and Christopher Shotola-Hardt from Blackfish Gallery. Jana is an artist who immigrated to the US from the Czech Republic. Christopher is an artist and musician who is the son and grandson of war refugees from Eastern Europe. Teressa Raiford is the Founder and Executive Director of Don’t Shoot PDX\, an arts and education organization that promotes social justice and civic participation with year-round programming. Tai Carpenter is the Director of The Black Gallery\, an extension of Don’t Shoot PDX\, where art and activism intersect. The conversation will be moderated by Melissa Casburn\, a senior design leader and board member of CoDesign Collaborative. \nThis program is related to CoDesign Collaborative’s forthcoming magazine issue on Designing for Dissent. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Saturday\, February 21\, 2025\nBlackfish Gallery938 NW Everett Street Portland\, OR\, 97209\n1–3 pm PT\n \n \n \n \n \n FREE to Attend!
