SUMMARY:Community Meetup: Third Space (PDX) - Let's Make Zines
DESCRIPTION:Community Meetup: Third Space (PDX) – Let’s Make Zines\nConnect with others\, build relationships\, and make a zine about your favorite subject. Supplies provided\, no artistic ability required.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Join us on Tuesday\, November 18\, from 6:30-8:30pm PT for a Third Space gathering at Hi-Top Tavern in Portland\, Oregon. We’ll be making tiny zines on any topic that interests you: pizza\, cats\, or various topics in civic technology. We’ll provide instructions and sample prompts\, along with the necessary supplies. \nThis program is inspired by and in partnership with Shashank Khandewal and Blue Tiger\, who are hosting “Third Space” events. In sociology\, a “third space” refers to a social environment that is distinct from home (the first place) and work/school (the second place). It’s a place where individuals can connect with others\, build relationships\, and foster a sense of community. \nOur third spaces are physically and conceptually dwindling over time. We’re not giving ourselves enough permission to stop work\, leave the home\, and do something else. So\, let’s continue our reimagining of a third space: a place\, a time\, and an activity. Come for the activity\, stay for the conversation! \nAll are welcome! \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Tuesday\, November 18\, 2025\nHi-Top Tavern5015 NE FremontPortland\, OR 97213\n6:30 – 8:30 pm PT\n \n \n \n \n \n FREE to attend! \n \n Register Now\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Program Contributors \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Shashank KhandelwalCEOBlue Tiger \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Melissa CasburnVP\, Design at CoformaBoard Member\, CoDesign Collaborative \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Become a member to attend special events free of charge\, and get Unfold Magazine mailed twice a year.\nMembership starts at just $5/month.\n \n Join
