DESCRIPTION:Design Research Week 2026: Play Break | Thing from a CoDesigned Future (BOS)\nDream boldly about the futures we can build (and repair) together.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Join CoDesign Collaborative during Design Research Week 2026 at Northeastern University for an energizing\, hands-on\, gamified session. We’ll play “Thing from a CoDesigned Future” and imagine worlds beyond the status quo. In this playful\, fast-paced experience\, you’ll combine unexpected prompts — future worlds\, everyday “things\,” areas of impact\, and codesign values — to spark fresh ideas about what inclusive\, just\, and imaginative futures might look like. Play Break will be led by Aidan Borer\, Director of Human Insights at Human-ology and Board Chair at CoDesign Collaborative. \nWhether you’re a student\, designer\, professor\, community member\, or just future-curious\, this session will: \n\nIntroduce a lightweight\, participatory game you can use with your own peers or community.\nEncourage joyful\, radical imagination about how we can redesign systems and everyday experiences.\nConnect with other change makers who care about designing for equity and belonging.\n\nYou’ll leave with: \n\nProvocative future concepts generated collaboratively in the session.\nA playable digital tool you can keep using in your own work.\n\nAll are welcome! \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About Design Research Week 2026Design Research Week is a weeklong event that showcases design-led research projects and initiatives. SUMMARY:Postponed! Community Meetup: Third Space - Protest Posters (BOS)
DESCRIPTION:Postponed! Community Meetup: Third Space (BOS) – Protest Posters\nConnect with others\, build relationships\, and make a protest poster. Supplies provided\, no artistic ability required.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Due to an unexpected challenge with the venue\, the Third Space on Wednesday\, March 25\, from 4:30-6:30 pm ET has been postponed. We look forward to rescheduling and gathering in late April / early May. \nInspired by CoDesign Collaborative’s forthcoming magazine issue on Designing for Dissent\, we’ll be making protest posters on topics and movements important to you. We’ll provide instructions and sample prompts\, along with the necessary supplies. Registration includes one complimentary beverage. \nThis program is inspired by and in partnership with Shashank Khandewal and Blue Tiger\, who are hosting “Third Space” events. In sociology\, a “third space” refers to a social environment that is distinct from home (the first place) and work/school (the second place). It’s a place where individuals can connect with others\, build relationships\, and foster a sense of community. \nOur third spaces are physically and conceptually dwindling over time. We’re not giving ourselves enough permission to stop work\, leave the home\, and do something else. So\, let’s continue our reimagining of a third space: a place\, a time\, and an activity. Come for the activity\, stay for the conversation! \nAll are welcome! \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Wednesday\, March 25\, 2026\nDemocracy Brewing\n35 Temple Pl\nBoston\, MA 02111\n4:30 – 6:30 pm ET\n\nADA-accessible entrance\, restroom\, and seating\n \n \n \n \n \n FREE to Attend!\n \n Register Now\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Program Contributors\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Aidan Borer\nDirector of Human Insights\, Human-ology\nBoard Member\, CoDesign Collaborative \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Become a member to attend special events free of charge\, and get Unfold Magazine mailed twice a year.\nMembership starts at just $5/month.\n \n Join
