Field Trip: RISD Museum | Art of French Wallpaper Design & Networking (PVD)
Join CoDesign Collaborative for design after dark excursion at the RISD Museum in Providence, followed by networking at a local restaurant.
Join CoDesign Collaborative on Free Thursday Night at the RISD Museum! We’ll meet at the museum on Thursday, May 8 at 5pm ET for a self-guided tour of The Art of French Wallpaper Design. At 5:45 pm we’ll walk over to Palo chat about the exhibition over drinks. The event will conclude at 7pm.
The Art of French Wallpaper Design explores the vibrant, surprising designs that adorned walls in the 1700s and 1800s. Featuring more than 100 rare samples of salvaged wallpapers, borders, fragments, and design drawings, this exhibition reveals the creative process and showcases the extraordinary technical skills involved in producing these works, presenting an invaluable resource for artists and enthusiasts alike.
The RISD Museum is free and open to the public on Thursday nights. Registration includes one beverage at Palo.
Field Trips are a benefit of membership in the Design Impact Society and Corporate + Academic Membership. Individual+ Members register for $10. Access Members register for $13. General Admission $15. Student Members register for FREE on a limited, first-come, first-served basis.

Both of the RISD Museum’s entrances and all galleries are wheelchair accessible and a limited quantity of wheelchairs are available for visitor use. Service dogs are welcome in the Museum. The closest lot is Metropark Location P5: South Main St Lot at 131 Canal St. Parking is also available at metered spots on adjacent streets.
