CoDesign Conversations: Supporting Displaced Federal Workers
Join us on August 20 for the launch of our LinkedIn Live conversation series that explores the dynamic intersection of public and private sector innovation.
How can public and private sectors support displaced federal workers — and open doors to new forms of service? In the first event of our new series, CoDesign Conversations, we’ll explore human‑centered approaches to career transitions in public service, from state‑level policy to grassroots storytelling and collaborative design solutions.
Moderated by Amy Heymans, CEO of Beneficient, this August 20 LinkedIn Live event will bring together current and former government employees who are reimagining how to sustain and strengthen civic service at local and national levels:
- Ron Bronson — As Head of Design at 18F, Ron led the federal government’s largest in‑house human‑centered design team. In March 2025, he founded PDX Design Corps, a civic tech sprint connecting tech volunteers with local nonprofits.
- Miranda Martin — As Director of Talent Management in the PA Office of Administration, Miranda helped spearhead Governor Josh Shapiro’s executive order to fill critical Commonwealth vacancies through streamlined hiring for federal employees.
- Brian Whittaker — A former federal executive and the founder of Humans of Public Service (HOPS), an award-winning platform that has shared the stories of more than 200 public servants, humanizing public service to inspire trust and build the government we deserve
